Make a donation (please make cheques to "Old English Sheepdog Rescue & Welfare"). You can now make a donation by PayPal.
Make a monthly donation by standing order, £5 a month makes a difference to the dogs. If you are a UK taxpayer we can reclaim the income tax that you have already paid at standard rate. So your £5 would mean £6 to us. If you are a higher rated taxpayer you can also claim money back.
Payroll Giving : Don't be fooled, check this out carefully!! If you have decided that you have £5 to spare each month and would like to donate it to charity. As we understand it, the £5 is deducted from your pay before your income tax is calculated (but after National Insurance). This means that you would pay £1.00 less tax (more, if you are a higher rate tax payer). Note: this means that we cannot reclaim gift aid on your donation. The money deducted from your pay is then sent to an agency (not directly to us) who then, eventually send the money to us - minus their admin charge !!! If you are contemplating this then why not reduce your donation to £4; send it directly to us by standing order, let us collect the gift aid and cut out the agency fees. We would also receive your donation much quicker! (Higher rate taxpayers can still collect their tax refund above 20%). Of course we are always happy to receive donations however they arrive. We are just upset when people think they are giving us a donation but we receive something else.
Save us your used postage stamps: Ask your friends, colleagues and family to help you fill an envelope with used postage stamps. If possible, stamps on paper should have no more than 1 cm of border round them. Less than this is acceptable but please do not trim them too close to the perforations. Damaged stamps are worthless so please don’t include them. We welcome all stamps on or off paper as long as the stamps are not damaged, if you have any old collections that are surplus to requirements they would be gratefully received too. Please send stamps to us.
